Melissa Wheaton

Melissa L. Wheaton is a Trusts and Estates Attorney at Killgore Pearlman, P.A., where she leads the firm’s Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate Practice Areas. She is a 5th generation Floridan and has been licensed to practice law in Florida since 2003.  

    Melissa focuses her practice on estate planning, guardianships, probate, and trust administration, bringing extensive legal and leadership experience to her work. Melissa is also collaboratively trained.  Before joining Killgore Pearlman in 2023, she founded and operated her own estate planning firm in South Florida.

    Melissa is a Double Gator, having earned her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor (with honors) from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.  Melissa also earned a Master of Science in Management from Troy University and an LL.M. in Taxation (Estate Planning Concentration) from Boston University School of Law. Melissa's proven professionalism, leadership abilities, and corporate management experience allows her to provide clients with thoughtful, technically sound, and compassionate guidance in navigating complex trusts and estates administration matters.
